For most players, you don’t need to do anything to switch to the new version. When you update the app, the new version will automatically replace the current version.
To help ensure a smooth transition, we recommend that you are signed in to your Teach Your Monster account before updating. If you're already signed in, you won't need to do anything else.
On the legacy app, you can check whether you are already signed in by the following methods:
Navigate to the ‘Play screen’ that features the large pink, play button at its centre. If you can see a pink ‘Sign up’ button in the top left-hand corner of the screen, then you are not logged in, and will need to press this button and proceed to the Sign up/Login screen to sign up for an account or login using your existing details.
If you can see the Sign up/Login screen then you are not yet logged in and need to either sign up for an account or login using your existing details.
If you're not signed in, please sign in before updating. If you've forgotten your login details, you can reset your password via this link.
If you haven't created a Teach Your Monster account and have only created player profiles directly on your device, we recommend creating an account before the update. This will help ensure your progress can be carried across to the new version of the game. You can create an account by following the instructions here.
