Under Amazon's latest guidelines for all Amazon Kids+ subscription apps, login and sign-up functionality is prohibited. Therefore, login and sign-up features have been removed from the Amazon Kids+ subscription version of the Teach Your Monster to Read app.

Understanding Amazon’s platforms

Amazon has two platforms for apps:

  1. Amazon Appstore (regular version).

  2. Amazon Kids+ subscription (Kids+ version).

All Teach Your Monster apps are available on the Amazon Appstore. Only Teach Your Monster to Read is available on Amazon Kids+ subscription.

What does this mean for you?

  • If you purchased our apps through the Amazon Appstore (as opposed to using an Amazon Kids+ subscription): This change will not affect you at all. You will still be able to use the apps as normal and login or create a new Teach Your Monster account through the app.

  • If you downloaded the Teach Your Monster to Read app using an Amazon Kids+ subscription: You will still be able to use the app and play using monsters on your device. However, you will no longer be able to login or create a new Teach Your Monster account from within the Amazon Kids+ subscription versions of our app as per Amazon’s new guidelines. This means you won't be able to play with the monsters from your Kids+ subscription device on other devices.

  • You can still login to your Teach Your Monster account on other platforms: You can still login to your account or create a new account on other platforms, such as Apple, Google Play, Amazon’s regular Appstore, or on our website at teachyourmonster.org.

If you were logged into the Teach Your Monster to Read app on Amazon Kids+ subscription, here’s how to keep playing with your saved data:

If you were playing the Teach Your Monster to Read app on the Amazon Kids+ subscription platform, and had logged in to your account in order to play, then as long as your device was connected to the internet, your player’s progress should be saved to your Teach Your Monster account, allowing you to carry on playing with that player on other platforms.

  • Important note: You won’t be able to update your save data on the Amazon Kids+ subscription version of the Teach Your Monster to Read app from January 2025. You can continue to play; however, you won’t be able to play with the same player across multiple devices or on other platforms.

  • Connected to Wi-Fi? Your save data should have synced to the cloud, allowing you to access the same save on other platforms (including the Amazon Appstore version, just not the Amazon Kids+ platform).

If you log out of your Teach Your Monster account on Amazon Kids+ subscription:

Once you log out of your player account on the Amazon Kids+ subscription platform, you will no longer be able to access that account via the Amazon Kids+ subscription version of the Teach Your Monster to Read app as per Amazon’s latest guidelines.

FAQs

However, as outlined above, you will no longer have access to login or sign-up features within the app on the Amazon Kids+ subscription platform.

How can I play with the same player account across multiple devices?
