Why does Teach Your Monster have subscriptions?
At Teach Your Monster, we’re a social impact organisation on a mission to help millions of children learn the essential skills they need to thrive in life — like reading and mathematics. We are proudly supported in our work by the Usborne Foundation and through the contributions of users who subscribe to our games, which go towards improving, developing, and maintaining our products. If you choose to subscribe, thank you for supporting our mission.
We want to highlight that any profits generated by Teach Your Monster are covenanted back to The Usborne Foundation, a charity that exists to help children learn and fulfil their potential in early years and beyond. All our profits are therefore used either to support Teach Your Monster’s goals or are donated to other charities.
Can I use my subscription on multiple devices or across different app stores?
Yes, you can! Just be sure to login to the app with the same Teach Your Monster account that you used when you first purchased your subscription, then your subscription will carry over to your new device. You’ll need to be connected to the internet when you first login on a new device so that the app can recognise your subscription.
How do I redeem my subscription purchase?
You don't need to redeem anything separately. Once you’ve subscribed on your device, the app will automatically unlock all subscription content. Just make sure you're logged into the Teach Your Monster account that you used when you first purchased your subscription, and you're all set!
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Uninstalling the app won’t cancel your subscription. You’ll still be charged unless you cancel it through the App Store where you originally subscribed. If you reinstall the app later and log in with the same Teach Your Monster account that you used when you first purchased it, your subscription will still be active.
Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, your subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, unless you cancel through your App Store settings. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time.
What happens if my payment fails or my subscription expires?
If your payment fails, your subscription will usually attempt to renew again automatically. If it cannot renew, your access to subscription features will end at the expiry of the current billing period. If your subscription expires, you can restart it at any time by subscribing again through your app store.
How can I manage or cancel my subscription?
Managing or cancelling your subscription depends on the App Store you used when subscribing:
Apple App Store (iOS)
Follow Apple’s guide to view, change, or cancel your subscriptions here:
Google Play Store (Android)
Follow Google's guide to cancel, pause or change your subscriptions here:
Amazon Appstore
Follow Amazon's guide to view and manage your subscriptions here:
Can I get a refund for my subscription?
Learn how to request a refund from your App Store on our refunds help page.
Can I share my subscription with family members?
Subscriptions are tied to your Teach Your Monster account, not your device. As long as other family members login to the app using the same account login details, they’ll have access to the subscription. However, if you're using different Teach Your Monster accounts, each will need its own subscription.
Do I need an internet connection to use my subscription?
You'll need an internet connection the first time you login on a device to validate your subscription. After that, many features will work offline, but occasional internet access is required to keep everything up to date.
