Learn about the ways you can try Teach Your Monster for free before you buy or subscribe.

Written by TYM Support Team

Our apps can be purchased in different ways, including one-off purchases and subscriptions. You can learn more about our app pricing in our help article. Before you buy, there are a few ways you can try Teach Your Monster for free.

Can I play for free on the web?

Yes! All of our games can be played for free via our website on computers or laptops. Since our web versions offer the same core game experience as the apps, this is a great way to try a game before purchasing or subscribing to the app.

First, either sign up for or login to your Teach Your Monster account, then choose a game from the dashboard, as shown below, create or select your player, and you’re ready to play!

Can I get a free trial in the app?

Some of our subscription apps may offer a free trial for first-time subscribers. Free trials are limited to one per app and per account, and are available only the first time you subscribe.

How do I get my free trial?

If our app is offering a free trial and you are a first-time subscriber, you should see the free trial offer when you reach the subscription screen in the app, as shown below.

  1. In order to begin your free trial, first select your subscription plan, then press the button to ‘Start your FREE trial’.

2. Next, your app store may ask you to confirm a payment method to start your free trial, but you will not be charged unless your trial converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period.

3. We recommend checking when your trial ends and when your first payment is due.

4. You can enjoy the app for free until your free trial ends.

How long is my free trial?

This may vary depending on the current trial offer available for the app. The exact trial period will be made clear on the subscription screen and on your app store receipt. You can also check the details of your current subscription plan in your app store.

How do I cancel my free trial?

We get it, the app might not be the right fit for you now that you’ve tried it. If you have started your free trial and you don’t want to subscribe to the app at the end of it, you can cancel the trial via your app store.

Make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends to avoid being charged.

Cancelling your free trial will depend on the App Store you used when subscribing. Follow the guidance for your App Store as linked below:

Apple App Store (iOS)

Follow Apple’s guide to view, change, or cancel your subscriptions here:

Google Play Store (Android)

Follow Google's guide to cancel, pause or change your subscriptions here:

Amazon Appstore

Follow Amazon's guide to view and manage your subscriptions here:

How can I cancel or manage my subscription?

If you have already completed your free trial and want to cancel your subscription, you can do so via your app store by following the same guidance as linked above.

You can learn more about managing your app subscription on our help page.

Can you cancel my free trial or subscription for me?

Because subscriptions are managed directly by the app stores, we’re unable to cancel or manage your free trial or subscription on your behalf.

Why can’t I see the free trial in the app?

Free trials are only available to first-time subscribers. If you can’t see a free trial, it may be because the app is not currently offering one, or because your account has already used its one free trial per app, per account. In this scenario, you can still subscribe to the app as shown below, but a free trial will not be offered.
